Multiethnic Church Leadership at North Park
The 12-credit-hour certificate in multiethnic church leadership provides practical theology, ministry praxis, and leadership competencies in racial and cultural reconciliation, biblical justice, and intercultural development with particular insight drawn from the history of the African American church. Content includes the ministry practices and models at Midtown Covenant Church, a multiethnic and multicampus congregation in the Sacramento metropolitan area.
The program is intended for pastors and ministry leaders who desire to develop understandings that will lead to greater faithfulness and fruitfulness in an ever-increasing multiethnic, multicultural, and metropolitan mission field.

- MNST 6342 – Moving Toward Shalom in a Racialized World
- MNST 6343 – Preaching in a Multiethnic Context
- MNST 6344 –Developing and Planting Multiethnic Churches
- MNST 6345 –Cultural Exegesis for Ministry in Diverse Congregations
Program length and modalities
Students typically complete this program in 13 months and can apply the credit hours toward a master’s degree from NPTS. It has fall and spring intensives at Midtown Covenant Church in Sacramento, California, and summer intensives at the North Park Theological Seminary (NPTS) campus.

As a product of the African American Church, he also serves as a collaborative catalyst for African American church planting, disciple-making, and urban-empowerment movements.
