This program provides a strong foundation in biblical and theological studies, practical ministry training, and skills for interpreting Scripture, communicating the gospel, and leading effectively. While traditionally focused on congregational leadership and Ordination to Word and Sacrament in the Evangelical Covenant Church, the program also supports those pursuing roles in nonprofit and academic contexts, with a strong emphasis on cultural competency and service in diverse communities.

I hope every student in my courses walks away with greater knowledge of the culture and social values of the first-century world, a greater love of reading the New Testament in its ancient context, and a greater faith to live out this same gospel message more radically today.
