About Me
I am an on-campus seminarian—I am privileged to be able to use the many physical resources available to North Park on-campus students, such as Isaacson Chapel and Brandel Library. This is the final year of my programs, and I am currently doing my internship this semester. The ministry experience has been a great opportunity for me to practice ‘in the real world’ what I’ve learned in the classroom.
My Seminary Experience
The two most impactful experiences of my Seminary education have been my assigned coursework and participating in our weekly community worship. NPTS faculty do a great job of creating assignments that I can actually use in my ministry context. For example, one of my first assignments was to create a ‘rule of life’ that I still use to this day. I’ve also been impacted by participating in Community Worship as it provided me with an opportunity to learn ways of serving that most suit my soul.
My Future
I’ve been supported by a generous scholarship without with I would not have been able to afford the degree! This has made it possible for me to learn and grow and plan for the future. I plan to use my seminary degree to create educational opportunities for adults to grow in their faith. I hope to design retreats and workshops where adults can grow through exploring different prayer practices and engaging in honest conversations.
