Why Lina?

We walk by Lina’s bronze figure each day when entering Nyvall Hall at North Park Theological Seminary.

Her head is titled in thought, she claps a hymnbook carrying the poetry of her heart, and her hands hold the tension of prayer and action

Lina represents both our heritage and our prayer for the future—a generation of pastors, scholars, and mission friends who are faithfully formed in head, heart, and hands.

As theological education continues to evolve, more of our students, alumni, and church leadership engage our faculty from their local places of ministry, both near and far. Our online homage to Lina provides a new way to stroll past her likeness, as we prepare to love and serve God and our neighbor.
