Our holistic philosophy

We approach Scripture and theology with academic rigor, learning from the best Christian scholarship of the present, the past, and the globe. Ministers of the Gospel also need emotional maturity, spiritual growth, and discernment for action.

Whether preparing for pastoral ministry, pursuing advanced degrees, or enhancing our personal faith, academics at North Park engage the head, the heart, and the hands—for God’s glory and neighbor’s good.

Modalities

A challenge of graduate education can be planning studies alongside daily work, ministry, and family commitments. We’ve designed educational pathways that are flexible to fit real life, while keeping the relational, interactive moments that theological formation demands: online, in-person, full-time, and part-time.

Coming to campus for my courses, community worship, and community dinner were essential parts of my week. I’ve learned so much from the community at North Park Theological Seminary, and I’m so grateful to be a part of it.
